Iran, Syria discusses bilateral, economic relations in Damascus

Iranian lawmakers have visited the Syrian capital, Damascus, in order to explore ways of improving bilateral relations.

Press TV reported that the two countries agreed to expand strategic ties particularly on the political and economic level.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad while receiving Hashmatullah Flahat Bisha, the Iranian chief of the parliamentary committee for national security and foreign policy, in the capital Damascus assured that his support for Iran’s effort in bringing peace and end to the waging war in Syria.

Earlier, Hashmatullah briefed President Assad on their mission of the visit and assured that Iran would continue to support and guide the international community on how to bring an end to the Syrian war through diplomatic means.
