Despite entering US, Atiku’s Character remains questionable – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), US chapter, says the character of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar remain questionable despite his ongoing visit to the United State of America (USA).

This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Adesegun Labinjo who is the Chairman of the US chapter of the party.

He said the reason for the former vice – president’s earlier refusal to travel to the United State was because of some allegations of corruption against him, adding that a “thief remains a thief no matter where he or she visits”.

“After a long spell of noticeable absence and factual concerns about Alhaji Abubakur Atiku’s antecedents in the USA arising from his dealings with former Congressman William Jefferson of Louisiana, who was convicted and served a jail term on account of bribery resulting from a telecommunication transaction in Nigeria, Atiku is now here again in the US’’.

This is the first time in 13 years the former Vice president will be visiting the US after being alleged in a of bribery scandal involving a Congressman Willienm Jeffrson who was later convicted and sentenced to prison.
