Appeal Cour rejected Metuh’s request to travel abroad for medicals

A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has overruled a suit filed by Olisa Metuh, seeking for a permission to travel outside Nigeria.

Metuh, a former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had approached the court asking for the release of his travel documents

Metuh had filed an appeal seeking the release of his travel documents to enable him go medicals abroad.

But, after hearing the case on Wednesday, the Federal High Court declined his request.

The court held that Metuh’s suit was an abuse of court process, as his reasons for travelling abroad for medical treatment were not verified.

Metuh is standing trial for alleged involvement in the mismanagement of $2.1billion USD arms funds handled by Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser (NSA) during the presidency of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
