The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, says there will be war in the country if the 2019 presidential election is rigged.
He said, it was clear that the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) was planing all it could to make sure it pressurize the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to rig this election stressing that such will result to war in the country.
Secondus stated this on Thursday during the PDP presidential campaign rally in Asaba, Delta State.
“Today, by your mandate, we warn INEC and we believe there are good people in INEC. We know that government is pressuring INEC to rig this election, but if they rig this election, they’re looking for war.
“If they need peace, they must not rig the election because everybody is ready for this election.
“We want to also advise our security agencies and we know there are good people there protecting lives and properties, which is their primary duty. We believe that they will obey the Constitution, not to break it like Mr. President is breaking our laws. They will obey the Constitution and be neutral,” Secondus added.
He then appealed to voters in the state to vote massively for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar in the February 16 presidential election for the Nation to move forward.
