Nigerian Vice President Osinbajo survives chopper crash

The chopper carrying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of his team crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi state.

This was disclosed by Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to the vice-president on media and publicity.

The vice-president is safe, Akande said through his official Twitter handle.

“VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State,” Akande tweeted.

Presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday congratulated Osinbajo for escaping the crash unscathed. Atiku said this through his twitter handle.

Osinbajo has expressed his appreciation for the concern shown by Nigerians over the crash of the Chopper carrying him at Kabba, Kogi State.

Mr Akande said Mr Osinbajo was already in Kabba and was continuing his community engagements in the state on the Next Level plan of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Mr Osinbajo thanked Nigerians via his verified Twitter handle @ProfOsinbajo.
