The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has appealed to Nigerian to exercise their franchise during the fort coming general election.
Adeboye stated this at the redemption camp during the monthly Holy Ghost Service along Lagos Ibadan express way.
He also urged members to ensure that their vote was counted during the election.
The Cleric who was speaking on the theme: “Swimming in God’s glory” urged the citizens to pray for the success of the election exercise.
He said, “Please keep on praying for mercy for Nigeria.
“We need mercy before, during and after the election, we need mercy, mercy is the medicine that can change your mess to a message.
“It is your civic responsibility to vote, If you do not vote, you do not have the right to complain after the elections,” he added.
He said, the full participation of the electorates will ensure emergence of the right leaders, stressing that, “Nigerians should not just vote, but vote and wait until the results are declared which they should record.”
“When you finish voting, if the security situation permits, make sure you wait and let the INEC officials do the counting, then record whatever they said the result is, while praying for God’s mercy on our nation,” Adeboye added.
