Ahead of the 2019 presidential election scheduled for Feb. 16, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Kannywood star, Adam Zango as the party’s Brand Ambassador.

Zango took to his Instgram page on Thursday where he announced the appointment.

“I was appointed with the title of ‘PDP Brand Ambassador’. I endorsed Atiku Abubakar as my presidential candidate. Lets get Nigeria working again. It’s my choice and my partners choice,” Zango wrote.

By his partners, Zango wrote, “@wahasha @official_zainab_indomie @official_margidado @isah_ferozkhan @mansurmakeup @ibrahim_sinana @official_safzor @barrister_sani-coach @abdul_ziro @kamal_rarara.”

Only on Wednesday, the actor also known as ‘Prince Zango’ reposted a post promoting PDP and Atiku on Instagram by Kannywood actor and Atiku’s campaigner, Zaharaddeen Sani.

This came after a section of the media reported that, Zango held meeting with close associates of the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and some officials of the party and was set to defect from All Progressives Congress (APC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Prior to his defection, Adam Zango was a die-hard supporter and campaigner of President Muhammadu Buhari even though he had been of recent complaining about APC’s treatment towards the Kannywood filmmakers.

Adam Zango is expected address a press conference to announce his official his defection from APC to PDP and his support for Atiku’s presidential ambition.

He is also expected to join Atiku’s campaign train for the remaining presidential rally visit to states.
