The biological father of Sen. Rabi’u Kwankwaso, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso has been elevated to a status of a kingmaker in the newly created Karaye emirate.
Saleh Kwankwaso was promoted from the position of Majidadi to Makaman Karaye and kingmaker in the emirate by the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II.
Announcing the development, the spokesperson of Karaye emirate on Wednesday in a statement said the elevation of the title was in view of Kwankwaso’s “quality and tireless commitment to the sustainable development of the emirate.”
He however, added that, “the date of the formal installation of Saleh Kwankwaso to the position of a kingmaker would be announced soon.”
It could be recalled that, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso was first turbaned as the Majidadin Kano and district head of Madobi by late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero in the year 2000.
Kwankwaso is currently aged 97.
